Event Details
 

The great thing about a place like Chateau Tumbleweed is that our team runs the gamut from leisurely wine drinkers to more experienced connoisseurs. The open nature of our place attracts all kinds, and our spring blending event is inspired by this spirit. It’s a chance to learn the creative process of blending from our cellar team. Hang out with our brilliant winemaker Joe as he explains the magic behind Cousin Idd – a Bordeaux blend that has style and sophistication along with a whimsical nature in classic Tumbleweed fashion. Get inventive and form your own Bordeaux blend with wine pulled from barrels maturing in our cellar. Plus, each guest will leave with a bottle of the 2022 Cousin Idd to commemorate the experience.

This delicious Mediterranean-influenced food with lots of flavor and color befitting of the spring season is presented by Nytasha & Art Prokopenko from Savories Kitchen.

Stuffed & grilled lamb pitas served with tzatziki

Honey Sumac Shrimp
Wild shrimp marinated in sumac spices, citrus & honey – grilled to perfection
 

Mezze Platter
A selection of olives, roasted tomatoes grilled halloumi cheese, hummus, babaganoush, a variety of tapenades, marinated artichoke hearts, dolmas & grilled lemon
 

Moroccan Potatoes
Spiced potatoes roasted until crisp & delicious
 

Harissa Carrots
Roasted rainbow carrots in harissa spices on a bed of rich tahini sauce, finished with pomegranate seeds & cilantro
