Tasting Notes
A grape grown throughout Portugal and mostly associated with Madeiras, Verdelho can make amazing and distinctive dry white wines with intense aromatics, intriguing spice and a silky texture. We bottled it by itself this year so you can see why we think Verdelho is so damn cool -- and hopefully agree!
Vineyard Notes
100% Verdelho from Dragoon Mountain Vineyard. Cochise County, AZ. 4,300 ft. elevation. Harvested Aug. 23rd - Sugar at harvest: 22.7 Brix
Production Notes
Pressed whole-cluster. Juice then settled 48 hours, racked, and inoculated with specially selected yeasts (QA23). Fermented in stainless steel at 55 F for 17 days. Malolactic fermentation inhibited.
