2019 The Descendants

Now in its second year as a blend of 100% Rhone varietals, the 2019 Descendants has a base of Roussanne from two different vineyards. The Sierra Bonita Vineyard lends brighter fruit and acidity while the Colibri Vineyard gives a subtle note of soft melon and a streak of minerality. Deep Sky Vineyard Viognier has long been a part of this blend and once again brings its classic notes of white blossom, quince and pear. The Addition of Grenache Blanc contributes more juicy acidity and a twist of citrus character. The blend was aged partly in stainless steel and partly in neutral oak barrels to round out its fresh acidity. This is a complex and refreshing wine suited for any occasion.
