Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
We’d been impressed by the meticulousness and fruit quality at Deep Sky Vineyard before we even started making wine for Chateau Tumbleweed. Since then, we’ve been fortunate to be one of the few occasional recipients of the Asmundson family’s Malbec – and it’s always a consistent favorite. While this wine has big, inviting aromatics, it’s surprisingly restrained and juicy on the palate with a spectacular finish of lavender, cassis, ripe plum, cigar box and fine, grippy tannins. This is some classic and classy Malbec! Only four barrels produced.
